Garage “Sailing”
Today was a GREAT day for garage sales. I woke up extra early and went around before I had to come back home to work.
It just so happened that one of the neighborhoods was having a day of garage sales with a map to all the different locations over a few mile radius. (It was like a scavenger hunt!).
I feel know I got some great deals.
To start with I got 3 of these Thonet bentwood chairs for a grand total of $8!! Drew is crazy about them and I promised I would find him some chairs with backs for our picnic table.
This is my personal favorite…because it has officially been over a year long hunt for mid-century fireplace tools. They are hundreds of dollars on ebay…and hard to find on craigslist…but these…these were $2!!!! And the lady was SO excited I was buying these because they were her parents. I promised to love them forever.
This sweet stainless steel elephant bank is the friend to the piggy bank I found for my friend Danni’s little ones. Now both Edie and Tommy will have a little animal bank. I told her it was 50 cents. My mistake! It was 25.

these little scoops were 50 cents…and although not too practical for our kitchen (well actually maybe they are…) I just really liked them.
