SO, I found this vintage chesterfield sofa on craigslist for…wait for it…$125!!! That’s crazy talk. Yes, it has beat up cushions and everything else, but still awesome.
So, that became my surprise (to me) jumping off point. And if the sofa was super affordable I felt obligated to have everything else affordable as well…some things more than others…and yes the room needs another chair. Ideally a granny chair…but I didn’t find one so the pillows are the stand in for that visually.
It needs a few side tables….wood…so the stool is my nod to wood. And the lamps technically have no place to go on…but imagine a cheap console table behind the sofa.
The balance of brown leather seems like navy velvet or linen. So I wanted to make sure to incorporate that in the room as well. To me that is a good balance of masculine and feminine along with several other styles in this room that I think are still cohesive and of course ALWAYS budget minded.
